With Pere Ocean's direct piping water dispenser, you no longer have to worry. Our dispenser has three stages of filter installed. The water filtration system consists of: 1) Polypropylene Filter (PP), 2) Ultra-Filtration Filter (UF) and 3) Post-Carbon Filter (T33).

What are the differences between a bottled water dispenser and a direct piping water dispenser? Unlike a direct piping water dispenser, a bottled water dispenser does not have any filters installed. A bottled water dispenser is normally used together with a big gallon bottled water that comes in various sizes such as 8L, 10L and 19L, while a direct piping water dispenser needs to be connected to a water tap. Therefore, a direct piping water dispenser requires a change of filtration set atleast once a year to ensure the quality of dispensed water. What is a 3 Stage Water Filtration System?

1. Polypropylene Filter (PP)

Sediment filters remove visible particulate matter, and any particles of dirt, sand, dust, and debris that can be caught by its micron-rated capacity. Sediment filters also remove turbidity from water. Turbidity is the cloudiness caused in water by the heavy presence of suspended solids.

2. Ultra-Fine Filter (UF)

Ultra-fine filters have a pore size range of 0.1um to 0.01um, and are used to remove particulates and macromolecules such as silica, viruses, endotoxins, proteins, some bacterias and plastics that may be present in water. Ultra-fine filter system retains beneficial minerals.

3. Post-Carbon Filter (T33)

Carbon filters are most effective at removing chlorine and volatile organic compounds (VOCs such as benzene, ethylene glycol, formaldehyde, methylene chloride, tetrachloroethylene, toluene, xylene, and 1,3-butadiene). They are also used for removing odor and improving the taste of water.

Note: Please note that Sediment Filters, Carbon Filters and Ultra-fine Filters are NOT effective at removing minerals, salts, and dissolved inorganic substances which contribute to the TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) of water. They are also not effective in removing fluoride (*fluoride helps prevent tooth decay) from tap water. In fact, they retain beneficial minerals in water.
